DEVASTATION IS UPON US

...

Our second tournament will be underway mid December. As the sun continues to scald us, we will make sure the fires of Destruction and Devastation burn brightly, as up to 64 participants battle it out for the title as Supreme Devastator.

DEVASTATION is here! It is official - our second Tournament will commence on the 18th and 19th of December. Sign up to join in December's explosive tournament. We encourage you bring your strongest arsenal as we see who reigns victor in Devastation.

Sign-up for your spot will be open as from 25 November 2010

Tournament Rules

- No cheating and No swearing. I cannot stress enough that bad mannered behaviour will NOT be tolerated.
- In the event of a dispute, the Admins will assess the situation via replays and conversation (IRC/Email) with both parties in question. If a replay can not be produced by either party (preferably both), then the dispute is null and void.
- Tardiness is undesirable, you will receive a game loss if you are late with at least five minutes; or a match loss if you are late with ten minutes. Exceptions can be made prior to the engagement said. (Admins will assess the situation.)
- Replays are to be sent to either Octurian (Nick) or Necroticah (Paul) and try to save it in the following format: YourName_YourOpponentsName_MapName_GameAndNumber, for example. Necroticah_Octurian_ScrapStation_Game2. You can also upload them onto the Replays Section in the site, however, said naming convention must be used and saved in the Devastation Folder.
- Lastly, please have fun and enjoy the rush of fighting in a tournament.

Game Rounds

The Round of 64 will commence on the 18th of December at 14:00

Up to 64 players will participate in the tournament. In the case of a full-house of 64 players, there will be 16 groups of 4 participants each. The top two advance and in the case of a tie - the breakers are determined on head-to-head stats, then on games won/lost. The group seedings will be as followed:

Band 1 - Top 8 Players on the Ladder.

Band 2 - Next 8 Players

Band 3 - Next 8 Players

Band 4 - Next 8 Players.

Band 5 - Next 8 Players on the Ladder.

Band 6 - Remaining Players

We will randomly place the Band 1 players into their groups, then follow suit with Band 2, etc.

In this event - less than 48 players, but more than 32 signed-up, we will create 8 groups of 4-6. But the group seedings will have Bands of 8 players instead of 16. Only 2 Players qualify from these groups and we have a final Bracket of 16.

Tournament Prize Support

Every tournament needs prize support and Devastation is no different. We will have prizes from ESET and Spy-Computing. The prize support is granted to the Winner; the Runner-up and the Third Place Holder.

1st: Logitech Wireless Keyboard/Mouse combo + ESET Smart Security Antivirus 1 year + ESET RAGE T-Shirt.

2nd: ESET Backpack + Divoom 2.0 portable speakers + Smart Security Antivirus 1 year + ESET RAGE T-Shirt

3rd: ESET Smart Security Antivirus 1 year + ESET RAGE T-Shirt

We will also have 10 SPOT prizes for those who entered... more details on Saturday.

Special

We are working on a Live Stream to bring the tournament to the people who want to watch without disturbing the players.

Our Replays section is a great place to store your replays. If you feel that you did well, want some help or just full-on bragging, upload them to our site and have people download and watch them.
