The Dust settled after DEVASTATION

...

The weekend concluded Devastation! - FugenIT's 2nd tournament since their inception and it proved to be a huge success. Shase stood tall when all destruction was dealt; with Hank - a relative new-comer scrabbling behind in 2nd place.

DEVASTAION! - ran by myself Paul "Necroticah" and Nick "Octurian" with the first-time caster Kyle "Biosystems" to entertain you during our LiveStream. I had the unfortunate mishap of dealing with a failed Internet Service Provider so I could not stay around to do some of my own casting but we give many thanks and praise to Shadowthief, Szarko (Azul) and Alcardu for their generosity and help during our outage.

We started of with Group Stages on saturday the 18th and many participants each represented the planets of the StarCraft II universe. With many unfortunate no-shows, the planets lacked battles but we still had a lot of fun with WarlordZim being our LiveStream guinea-pig during our first two matches. An overall fantastic day with many good matches being played and the round of 16 represented by the great players of our country.

We need to congratulate the winner and participants of the podium of Devastation! Shase, our favoured Protoss player took the spoils beating an in form Alcardu and the powerful ValpraX. Hank came in 2nd and a well-deserved finalist - coming into the finals undefeated via UltiXorz, xTcSlade and also an extremely in-form SeeM. As predicted after the tournament registrations we got our expected PvP final and it was a fantastic final. ValpraX took a justified 3rd place in beating SeeM and your prizes are all on their way to you. From the Devastaion! Team - Congratulations!!!
